Painter Stéfanie Thompson obtains a grant
Radisson, April 21st 2017 – Professional painter Stefanie Thompson obtains a 6 000$ grant from Northern Quebec territorial partnership for Jamesian area. Provided by both Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) and the Regional James-Bay Administration (ARBJ), it covers 80% of the total cost of her project. Three other partners will cover the 20% left, namely Localité de Radisson, Corporation de développement économique de Radisson, Tourisme Baie-James and the artist herself.
The project entitled « Overcoming the distance » will be carried out in 2017 and will allow the artist to work with a team of specialists from the company LEBLEU communication humaine on a new more efficient and more professional web site.
Considering that Radisson is situated nearly 1 500 kilometers from Montreal and also far from major urban centers, it is primordial for the artist to broadcast her work on the internet and get viewed worldwide.
